Turin Pala Alpitour – opened in 2005, the building is characterized by its extremely flexible spaces, by its exceptional acoustics and mainly by his high aesthetic impact, planned by the two international archistars, Arata Isozaki and Pier Paolo Maggiora, who made it become one of the symbols of Turin in third millennium worldwide.
This futuristic buildings appears as a rigorous parallelepiped, as a huge volume in suspension from the ground, long 183, large 100 and high 18 meters (developed on four levels: two levels are underground until 7,5 meters), completely covered by inox steel, resting on a glass basement five meters high.
Thanks to the partnership with Live Nation, Pala Alpitour has become venue of attraction in Italy for the music and entertainment events sector, constantly enriched by its all-around offers of spaces for the public.
The main entry is in front of Piazzale Grande Torino and introduces people in the majestic Foyer Sebastopoli, the 4000 square meters huge area, where expo and food&beverage stands are located. (food&beverage at Pala Alpitour are care of Top Food)
In 2015, 10 years after his opening day, Pala Alpitour gained another very important new leading record: thanks to the increased number of parterre capacity – up to 4.000 persons – it has officially become the largest arena of Italy, with a total number of 15.657 spectators in case of central stage or 13.347 spectators in case of lateral stage (in terms of maximum values capacity can change in accordance with each event configuration).
TECHNOLOGICAL AND CONSTRUCTION EXCELLENCES
Surely, the increase of its capacity is the most important character of excellence that can be referred to Pala Alpitour, but not the only one. The building has – already provided with modern fire system “sprinkler” over the stage area, little crowns able to expel smoke along all the arena and 2 foyers, other than a leading edge central “Control Room”, which manages all the domotic internal systems – recently realized the “safety lines” (in order to make personnel to execute in total safe way) and is characterized by an high capacity of charge on the roof up to 80 tons. It must also be added the control system of entrances made through high-tech screening and monitoring anti-falsification applications.
The building, planned to be a real and proper “factory of events”, as said by his architect creator, is completely flexible and modular as designed inside. The above all mentioned specifications, together with its strategic geographic position, will make Pala Alpitour the perfect venue for the return in Italy of a big Supercross event.
